Twilio Err - 21215
Frequency: Very High Common name Geo Perm issue
This error occurs when attempting to make an outbound call to a phone number that is not enabled on the Twilio account. By default, Twilio blocks certain high-risk/spam-prone countries like India, Pakistan, and others to prevent fraudulent activity.
Since most countries are disabled by default, this error is triggered when a user tries to call a restricted country.
Resolution:
The fix is simple. Enable geographic permissions of the country in the Twilio console.
Steps to enable:
- Go to the Twilio Console
- Navigate to Verify Settings > Geo Permissions
- Select the countries you want to allow for outbound calls
- Save the changes
